Tesla Solar Roof is a very interesting and extremely important product. By installing it, customers not only get a beautiful and unique look, but their homes can tap energy from the sun and convert it into electricity. A recent update from Tesla CEO Elon Musk indicates that its Solar Roof product could be launched in Canada and Europe by the end of 2021.

At the moment, Tesla Solar Roof is only available in the USA, yet customers from around the world would are eager to be able to purchase one for themselves. Musk tweeted on Monday that Solar Roof may be available to order in Canada later this year.

Answering another question, Musk wrote that he hopes that the start of sales in Europe will also begin in 2021. While this answer sounded a little hesitant, it did give hope that the company is working towards a product launch there in short order.

Solar Roof consists of uniquely designed, extremely durable glass tiles that complement the aesthetics of any home. It can be customized for a variety of home styles, each one unique, so the PV cells are invisible. Customers can choose which sections of their roof will contain hidden solar panels. Solar Roof seamlessly supplies renewable energy to homes, battery storage systems, and back to the grid, providing savings for owners. When combined with Tesla's home battery Powerwall, Solar Roof can provide 100% renewable energy to the entire home. It also gives owners independence from the grid, which is increasingly desirable—if not a necessity, as we continue to experience effects of climate change.
