Base on the latest 13Fs, Tesla ( NASDAQ: TSLA ) Inc, the electric vehicle maker became very popular among hedge funds. For example, Citadel Advisors LLC has the biggest position out of the 11 hedge funds, total value of $6.3 billion which representing 8.4 percent of their total equity investments. Optimus Prime Fund Management Co is now one of the largest concentrations in Tesla ( NASDAQ: TSLA ) equity with 30% of their company equity investment, holding value equal to $194 million.
As Bloomberg reported earlier:
"Those funds represent 4.9 percent of Tesla's outstanding shares. Hedge funds, as a group, own 6.5 percent, according to data in recent public filings compiled by Bloomberg."
