Tesla has begun expanding its non-Tesla Supercharger pilot program to Iceland. At the moment, the program operates in 14 countries.

Tesla continues to expand support for electric vehicle owners in Europe. The company announced Wednesday that it has added Iceland to the list of countries where it will launch its pilot charging program for non-Tesla vehicles. The move marks continued support for the development of the electric vehicle market and the people who choose environmentally friendly vehicles. The company's efforts directly support its mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.

Tesla emphasizes that access to an extensive, convenient, and reliable fast-charging network is critical to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. That's why since the opening of the first Supercharger stations in 2012, the company has continued to rapidly expand its network and today has more than 35,000 Supercharger stalls worldwide. Tesla has always been committed to opening up the Supercharger network to all electric vehicles and thereby encouraging more drivers to switch to electric vehicles. More customers using the Supercharger network enables faster expansion.

Thus, the total number of countries in which the pilot program operates has reached fourteen. Tesla monitors all Superchargers in which access is open to charge all EVs in order to control the situation and make adjustments if necessary. Please note that access is only available at certain charging stations in the countries. The non-Tesla Supercharger pilot is currently available for Supercharging stations in the following countries:
  • France
  • The Netherlands
  • Norway
  • UK
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Belgium
  • Austria
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Germany
  • Luxembourg
  • Switzerland
  • Iceland

The Non-Tesla Supercharger pilot is currently limited to EV drivers who live in the following countries:

  • The Netherlands
  • France
  • Norway
  • Germany
  • UK
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Belgium
  • Austria
  • Denmark
