Tesla Cars Make Up 63% of All U.S. EVs Registered in 8 Months of 2021

Tesla continues to truly flood many countries around the world with its electric vehicles, aiding in their quest to become carbon neutral. As the manufacturer that is most developing the EV market in the U.S., its cars are overwhelmingly popular here. Tesla cars made up 63% of all electric vehicles registered in the U.S. in the first eight months of 2021.

Tesla continues to strengthen the U.S. electric vehicle market as it supplies a huge number of the electric vehicles in it. According to Experian, the manufacturer's vehicles accounted for 63% of all electric vehicles registered in the first eight months of 2021. This is by far the strongest result and other manufacturers have not even come close to this performance.

In eight months of 2021, Tesla Model Y became the best-selling electric vehicle with an impressive 105,445 registrations. In second place is Tesla Model 3 with 80,681 registrations, far ahead of its closest rival, which it surpassed by almost 60,000 units!

The closest result to Tesla’s was shown by Chevrolet Bolt EV with a modest 22,799 registrations, which allowed it to take third place in the ranking. Fourth place went to Ford Mustang Mach-E with 15,938 registered.

These data once again underline the superiority of Tesla and its obvious influence on the development of the U.S. EV market. While the Biden administration pretends that Tesla does not exist—and even tries to hinder its development—it is the Texas manufacturer that qualitatively distinguishes the U.S. car market among all in the transition to EVs.
