Tesla sold 100,291 Chinese-made vehicles in November, a new monthly high, according to data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on December 5. Data released by the CPCA on Thursday showed that of these, Tesla delivered 62,493 vehicles in China, while 37,798 vehicles were exported. This is 89.73% more than 52,859 units in the same month last year.

Overall figures show that from January to November, Tesla sold 655,069 vehicles manufactured at Gigafactory Shanghai. This is 62.86% more than the 402,231 units that were delivered in the same period last year, highlighting the rapid development of Tesla's Chinese factory.

Of the 100,291 Tesla vehicles sold in November, there were 69,098 Model Ys. The absolute preponderance towards the production of the compact SUV only strengthens the belief that in 2023 it can become the best-selling car in the world. In November, Tesla sold 31,193 Chinese-made Model 3s.

Retail sales of all passenger cars powered by new energy sources in China in November were 598,000 units. This means that Tesla's share in the NEV market last month was 10.45% compared to 8.39% in the same month last year, a notable increase. In the battery electric vehicle (BEV) market, Tesla accounted for 14.4% of the 434,000 units sold in China in November.

From January to November, Tesla delivered 397,844 vehicles in China, up 59.05% from 250,141 in the same period last year. During 11 months of 2022, Giga Shanghai exported 257,225 vehicles.
