Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta is highly anticipated by many Tesla owners but is currently only available in the US and Canadian markets. Elon Musk said that for right-hand drive cars, the feature could become available probably as early as this year.

While most Tesla markets use left-hand drive vehicles, the manufacturer also has a large customer base in right-hand drive vehicles markets such as Australia, the UK, Japan, and Singapore. They are all looking forward to using FSD Beta. Recently, Tesla customers in these markets received encouraging news that must have lifted their spirits.

On Wednesday, Australian Tesla owner @TeslaGong/Twitter asked the company's CEO Elon Musk about when FSD Beta would roll out to right-hand drive vehicles and received an immediate response. According to the head of the company, the manufacturer plans to make this possible this year. However, it is worth bearing in mind that Musk used the word “probably” to emphasize that it is impossible to answer this question with absolute certainty.

The situation is that even if the software itself is completely ready in order to start testing it on right-hand drive cars, this does not mean that it will be allowed by these countries' regulators. It is known that FSD technology is considered with caution. In order to fully launch it on the market of any country, regulators will have to do a significant amount of work to develop systems and rules of regulation, and not everyone is ready for this today. We can only hope that the states will respond in time to the emergence of such new technologies, so as not to slow down development, but to facilitate improvement.
