Tesla Giga Berlin has begun active expansion of the Stamping Shop. The first columns have already been installed, and the wall of the factory is being dismantled in order to harmoniously combine the workshop with the new territory.

Giga Berlin continues to develop and it is not just about ramping up production. Last year, Tesla began preparations for expansion in the Stamping Shop area, clearing the site and even digging a foundation pit. However, progress has been slow since then, likely due to the company waiting for the corresponding approvals. Initially, the Stamping Shop was built a little unusually; looking at the factory building, it seemed that some part was missing.

However, this will be resolved soon as Tesla has started active expansion of the Stamping Shop. In recent weeks, the foundation has been poured and footings have been installed. According to @tobilindh/Twitter, in early February, the company began installing columns that will support the entire compartment. An interesting observation is that Tesla began taking apart the wall of the existing Stamping Shop to integrate the new space into the existing factory building seamlessly.

The use of prefabricated parts is a very thoughtful move. This allows Tesla to quickly build its factories, which is unique in the entire industry. In addition, the growing company is constantly expanding its production capacity, and the prefabricated parts from which its new factories are built give easy access to the implementation of a quick and clean expansion of existing factories.
