Tesla Giga Berlin is gearing up to expand Model Y offerings. A vehicle in blue has been spotted in the factory, hinting at the preparation for the production of Model Y in Deep Blue Metallic.
Production at Tesla Giga Berlin continues to gain momentum, gradually increasing the number of vehicles produced. This allows for offering a wider selection of options rolling off the assembly line. The Giga Berlin's high-tech paint shop has begun preparations for the production of Model Y in Deep Blue Metallic, as a recent observation hints.
On Saturday, while flying over the factory, @wolfpackberlin/Twitter spotted a Model Y painted in blue. This indicates that the paint shop is testing a new paint to put it into production. According to the online configurator for Germany, delivery of the Model Y Performance in Deep Blue Metallic is scheduled for July-August 2023. While there is no indication on the website of where the car will be built, it will most likely be at Giga Berlin, as the base and Long Range versions are currently being built at Giga Shanghai and will be delivered much earlier, between February and March 2023.

It was previously expected that Giga Berlin would also launch Model Y in Abyss Blue Multicoat, a new blue color. However, in recent months, the factory has begun production in two new colors, Midnight Cherry Red and Quicksilver, which can only be ordered in the European region. American consumers were upset that they did not receive the new colors. In response to this, Elon Musk has hinted that Giga Texas will also produce a Model Y in some new color which, as expected by the public, could be Abyss Blue Multicoat.
