Tesla Giga Shanghai delivered 100,291 vehicles in November, reaching an impressive new record. This demonstrated the relentless growth in production and strong demand for the manufacturer's vehicles, despite misleading rumors.

Tesla's Gigafactory in Shanghai set a new delivery record in November. Last month, 100,291 electric vehicles were delivered, Tesla China said. This marks the first time the factory has surpassed the 100,000 vehicles sold mark for a given month, further proof that its production capacity has been greatly expanded with the summer upgrade. It is worth bearing in mind that some of the vehicles delivered in November were vehicles that were actually produced in October. At the same time, part of the cars produced in November will only be delivered in December.

With deliveries of over 100,000 vehicles, Tesla posted an 89.7% increase compared to November 2021. This is also up 40% compared to October 2022. Such high production results are made possible by a strong team at Giga Shanghai who are 99.9% locals/Chinese. Thus, in the 11 months of 2022, the factory has already delivered more than 650,000 vehicles, which already significantly exceeds the 484,130 units delivered in the whole of 2021.

In addition, there have been rumors that November was the last push of Giga Shanghai before cutting production by 20% in December as demand in China is low. It was reported that the reduction will affect Model Y. Tesla China denied these rumors on December 5, saying that they are false. This is not the first time such misinformation about Giga Shanghai has been widely reported in the media, but it has never been proven to be true.
