One of Tesla's enthusiasts, TeslaRun, tracks the number of Tesla Cybertruk pre-orders. According to him, the number of pre-orders has already exceeded 340,000 units.

When the pre-orders for Cybertruck were opened, Tesla said a high-performance Tri motor truck should go into production at the end of 2022, almost a year after Single and Dual motor designs.

But, probably, having assessed the whole situation, the Tesla team decided to start production with more popular configurations of Cybertruck.

Another Tesla enthusiast Earl of FrunkPuppy, noted that the preorder site for the Cybertruck now lists Tri- and Dual-motor production scheduled to begin in late 2021. However, Tesla is delaying starting sing-motor, rear-wheel-drive production until late 2022.

Apparently, the majority of orders were received for Tri motor and Dual motor, so many people will be able to get their cars a year ahead of schedule. This is really good news. We look forward when the first owners to receive their Cybertrucks.
