Elon Musk will join the Technology Entertainment and Design 2022 conference in Vancouver, which runs from April 10-14. The head of the most disruptive companies will speak on April 14.
One of the most high-profile conferences in the world featuring Tesla CEO Elon Musk has returned to the Vancouver Convention Center from April 10-14. Technology Entertainment and Design (TED) moved to Vancouver as a permanent venue in 2014. In addition to Musk, who was dubbed a "serial entrepreneur" at the conference, the list of headliners included Microsoft founder Bill Gates, former U.S. vice-president Al Gore, and Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
Lower-tier tickets — those priced at $5,000 and $10,000 — have already sold out. The $250,000, five-year membership includes a concierge and meet and greets with speakers. The trendy talkathon moved north in 2014 from Long Beach, California.
The session with Musk is scheduled for April 14 from 8:45 am to 11:30 am local time (GMT-7). The session will be hosted by Chris Anderson, Helen Walters, and Whitney Pennington Rodgers.
TED is an American media organization that posts talks online for free distribution under the slogan "ideas worth spreading." TED was conceived by Richard Saul Wurman, who co-founded it with Harry Marks in February 1984 as a conference; it has been held annually since 1990. TED's early emphasis was on technology and design, consistent with its Silicon Valley origins. It has since broadened its perspective to include talks on many scientific, cultural, political, humanitarian, and academic topics. It has been curated by Chris Anderson, a British-American businessman, through the non-profit TED Foundation since July 2019 (originally by the non-profit Sapling Foundation).
