Jay Leno is one of Hollywood's most distinguished guys. He is a huge Tesla fan, he currently owns a Model S. He believes that electric cars are the future and the days of gas powered cars are numbered. “I have a Tesla. I’ve had it for three years. I’ve never done anything. There’s no fluids to change. There’s nothing,” said Leno.
His collection of about 300 vehicles (cars and motorbikes) is housed in several aircraft hangars. Leno also has almost encyclopedic knowledge about cars and their history. He not only drives cars, but along with a team of mechanics, he also helps maintain and rebuild many of his priceless collections.

Elon Musk’s Tesla Cybertruck and Cyberquad will appear in the Jay Leno’s Garage, next season of wich will starts on May 20. This time among the guests we will see Adam Carolla, Matt LeBlanc, Rob Riggle, Tim Allen, Fabio and the unrivaled Elon Musk - who took Leno for a drive he won’t soon forget.
And although at the moment we don’t know when the long-awaited episode about the steel beast from Tesla appears, Jay in an interview with The Post, shared some details.
“He was terrific,” says Leno about Musk, who had a fascinating conversation with him during their meeting. Even more Jay was impressed by the tunnel The Boring Company drilled.
“I’m a big fan. We drove the Tesla Cybertruck and he’s got a boring machine which makes tunnels. He says, ‘You want to see a tunnel?’ So he drives the [Cybertruck] into the tunnel, we’ve got about a quarter-inch on each side and we’re 60 feet underground. We get to the end of the tunnel and there’s an elevator, so we drive into the elevator and go up 6 or 7 stories and come up in a guy’s backyard in El Segundo.
He says, ‘This as far as we got with tunnel, and this guy is letting us use his backyard.’ As we come up [from the tunnel] I see a gas grill in one corner and a broken bicycle in another. It was just the funniest thing.”
Of course, Musk is a fascinating interlocutor who can surprise not only with words, but also with a demonstration of his projects. And while fans of Cybertruck froze in anticipation of the production and delivery of their long-awaited pickups from Tesla, Leno had a rare opportunity to ride.
