Tesla China could raise demand for the company’s FSD suite with its compelling zero-interest financing promotion. The FSD promotion could help the growth of Tesla’s autonomous Robotaxi fleet in the future.
A recent flier revealed that Tesla China would be offering customers who purchase the company’s FSD suite 0% interest financing for three years. According to Tesla enthusiast @Ray4Tesla, many local Model 3 customers in China chose not to purchase the company’s Full Self-Driving software when they bought their cars.
Based on the flier, the promotion seems to be available for the Model S, Model 3, and Model X. The offer doesn’t appear to be limited to the locally-made Model 3 Standard Range+ or the Long Range RWD.
Today @Teslacn released 3-year zero interest financing for #FSD (¥56k or $8k). Many 🇨🇳 M3 owners didn’t purchase FSD at the time of buying their 🚗. Now is the great time to buy & enjoy the tech. The new promotion could help Tesla China increase demand for its FSD suite. The software is an integral part of Tesla’s plans to deploy an autonomous Robotaxi fleet. As such, the FSD promotion could help Tesla’s Robotaxi fleet grow in China. Recently, Elon Musk said that Tesla’s Robotaxi fleet could be functional by the end of the year. Musk’s announcement hinted that a feature-complete FSD suite was close to being released.
In the Q4 2019 Earnings Call, Musk predicted that Tesla could release a feature-complete iteration of its FSD suite in late 2020. Soon after, it was evident that the EV automaker was working hard to improve Autopilot, which would increase the chances of releasing a feature-complete version of FSD by the end of 2020.
FSD sales could increase Tesla China’s revenues for Q2 2020 as well. Most analysts tend to exclude Tesla’s potential revenue from its various software offerings into their predictions and calculations. But when considered, their potential is vast.

However, Tesla has massive potential as a Software-as-a-Service company as a forward-thinking EV automaker. Tesla’s ability to reimagine the experience of owning a car could prove to be quite lucrative for the company in the future.
Tesla China’s FSD push could be spurred on even further with the other promotions coming up in the country. Giga Shanghai’s MIC Model 3 has specific promotions for consumers in the Chinese market, all of which make owning the all-electric sedan easier. The stellar deals could cause a spike in demand for the China-made Model 3.
