Tesla Has Found a Strong Export Market in Israel

Tesla has found a strong export market in Israel, where the manufacturer's cars are very popular. In the first seven months of 2021, 2,900 units were delivered and another 1,700 will be delivered next week. 45% of Israelis choose the more expensive Model 3 versions, compared to 30% on the European average.

Israel has become one of the strongest Tesla export markets in Europe. Given this fact, the manufacturer has identified the country as a priority market, a company source told The Globes. Tesla's cars received huge interest in the country's market and achieved high sales figures in the first months of the year. In addition, the Israeli market has distinguished itself by the fact that a large number of customers prefer the more expensive versions of Model 3.

The first deliveries to Israel began in March 2021 and 2,900 Model 3s have been sold as of today. Only 55% of them are Standard Range, 45% were Long Range and Performance versions. This attitude of sold cars qualitatively distinguishes local customers from other countries in Europe. On average, 70% of Tesla's electric vehicles purchased in Europe are Standard Range, and only 30% are more expensive versions. Therefore, the Israeli market has become one of the strongest for Tesla by European standards.

Another batch of 1,700 Tesla Model 3 vehicles arrives in Israel next week. All vehicles were manufactured in China, as demand for electric vehicles in the US is so high that the Fremont factory cannot produce significant quantities for export. Thus, in the first eight months of the year, 4,600 Tesla vehicles will be delivered to Israel. The next delivery after this one is expected in November.
