Tesla Giga Berlin has become an important part of the development of Brandenburg and a lifeline for thousands of people. The company became the largest employer in the region and, in addition to specialists, employed 1,000 previously unemployed people.

Tesla is a coveted company in many countries of the world. Germany was chosen among many to be the home of Tesla's European factory. Giga Berlin brings significant tax revenue to Brandenburg, the state in which it is located, and improves the overall economic situation in the region. At the moment, more than 7,000 people are employed in production at the factory. This made Tesla the largest employer in Brandenburg.

According to Märkische Oderzeitung (via teslamag.de), among more than 7,000 employees, 1,000 previously unemployed people are now employed, which means that the hopes that were placed on the facility have already been justified. Jochem Freyer, head of the local employment agency, told the publication on Wednesday that the 1,000th previously unemployed employee is a 52-year-old woman living in a community near Giga Berlin. He also said that more than half of these 1,000 were previously long-term unemployed, meaning they had been out of work for at least one year. It is because of Tesla that they now have permanent work positions and stable incomes.

Even only with more than 7,000 employees, Tesla is the biggest employer in Brandenburg, but this is only the beginning. In Phase 1 alone, the company plans to hire 12,000 people who will be able to produce 500,000 vehicles a year. However, more expansions are planned ahead and site clearance for the next phase has already begun.
