Tesla Giga Texas will host a Cybertruck-inspired 22,639 square feet “Cyber Cafeteria.” Documents show construction is expected to begin in October and be completed by May 2024.

The cyberpunk style runs deep into Tesla, which is especially noticeable at Giga Texas. In anticipation of the release of Cybertruck, the company enhances the mood by creating a themed cafeteria. The factory, which became the site for the production of pickup trucks, already has many elements in this style and is now being complemented by one more.

As spotted by @anuarbekiman/X, Tesla has applied for a permit to build a themed cafeteria at its Giga Texas complex with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. According to the application form, the company indicated a project called “Cyber Cafeteria.” It will occupy a total area of 22,639 square feet and cost approximately $10.5 million to build. In order for the Cyber Cafeteria to become reality, renovation and restructuring work will be required. At the moment, many details remain unknown. However, construction is scheduled to begin on October 25, 2023, with a completion date of May 1, 2024.

The area allocated for the cafeteria is very spacious. Currently, Giga Texas employs more than 20,000 people, however, according to the plan, this number will grow to 60,000 with the expansion of Cybertruck production in the coming years. Obviously, this will require significant space for employees to eat.

Tesla strives to make the workplace pleasant for its employees. Building a themed cafeteria is a great idea to brighten up the working days of factory employees. Giga Texas was originally designed as a place to manufacture Cybertrucks, so it is no surprise that the company strives to create a special atmosphere associated with this inside.
