Tesla Model Y will appear in Europe before production starts at Giga Berlin. The company today launched an online order configurator for the compact SUV and the first deliveries are expected in August 2021—next month. Delivery time for the German-made Model Y has been updated to early 2022.
Due to the very high interest in Model Y, it will go on sale in Europe in August 2021. The cars that will start arriving in the country next month will be produced at Giga Shanghai. Model Y Long Range AWD and Performance will be available to order. Now customers who have previously placed an order to receive a car in 2021 will be asked to refresh the order for made-in-China Model Y.

Starting prices vary from country to country. After receiving the state environmental bonus, some prices will become even more attractive.
In recent months, Giga Shanghai has been working hard to ramp up the production of Model Y. The first cars made for export have already gone to South Korea. An order configurator was also recently launched in Hong Kong, which means that Tesla's Chinese factory has begun production of right-hand drive vehicles. It also means that the manufacturer can now begin delivering the Model Y to Europe, including the UK, where Tesla Model 3 became the top-selling car in June.
