One of the participants in the Tesla referral program today received an email from the company, thanks to which we received new details for Model Y.

Tesmanian reported today that a Tesla owner from Taiwan won the Founders Series Model Y from a new automaker referral program. Based on the winner’s note from Tesla, the Model Y Mili won will be delivered when Tesla starts handovers to reservation holders in Taiwan. The letter estimated that Model Y delivery times were currently 2021. Tesla did not specify if the Model Y delivery date estimate referred to Taiwan specifically or to countries outside the United States.

On the company's website you can find out about the current referral program:

“Now, each time a friend purchases a new Tesla using your referral code, you’ll both get 1,000 miles of free Supercharging. Each referral also gives you a chance to win a Founder’s Series Model Y monthly and a Founder’s series Roadster supercar quarterly, both signed by CEO Elon Musk and Chief of Design Franz von Holzhausen. Tesla owners who already have unlimited Supercharging get two chances to win with each referral.”

In the email that Mili received, details of the receipt of the car were indicated. But, in addition to this information, some details regarding the car itself were there.

"Model Y is designed to easily adapt to a variety of driving situations. Through the power lift gate, the lower compartment position, and the seat's easy folding design, you can easily put all kinds of luggage and cargo into the car before each trip."

According to this description, Model Y has a power lift gate. This is great news, as access to the trunk will be incredibly fast and convenient. Previously, no one knew for sure whether the new Tesla car will have this function, but, together with the email for Mili, we all received the long-awaited confirmation of this function.

Model Y provides maximum versatility—able to carry 7 passengers and their cargo. Each second row seat folds flat independently, creating flexible storage for skis, furniture, luggage and more. The liftgate opens to a low trunk floor that makes loading and unloading easy and quick.
