Tesla Opens Orders for Powerwall Not Combined with Solar Products

Tesla opened up the possibility of ordering Powerwall without having to buy a Solar Roof or solar panels. This indicates that the manufacturer was able to scale up the production of home batteries to make them available to everyone.

Energy storage systems are the basis for a sustainable future. Energy received from renewable sources must be stored somewhere in order to use it at any time of the day and under any weather condition. That is why Tesla directs a huge amount of effort and funds to the development, improvement, and production of energy storage systems.

While utility companies and large companies can install Megapack or Powerpack, Tesla offers Powerwall for households. Home batteries help people increase energy safety by storing energy in batteries. Powerwall also withstands power outages, which is why it has become a very popular product for many households, even those who have not used the company's solar products.

Although Powerwalls were originally available for order in the markets where the company offered them, two years ago, their sale was limited. Since then, only those customers who bought a Solar Roof or solar panels could order Powerwall. This helped the company provide home batteries for customers who ordered entire systems.

However, it seems that the company has overcome the difficulties and has been able to ramp up Powerwall production significantly. @SawyerMerritt/Twitter noticed that Tesla has started to once again offer the ability to order home batteries for absolutely everyone, without having to buy them along with its solar products. Powerwall starts at $9,200 before taxes and benefits. However, those who buy three units can save by purchasing them for as little as $25,000.
