Tesla CEO Elon Musk has teased us with Teslaquila since 2018. This name first appeared as part of an April Fool's joke. Musk tweeted that his company went bankrupt and he was found “passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by ‘Teslaquila’ bottles.”
In October 2018, Tesla officially filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark 'Teslaquila.' The trademark is for “distilled agave liquor” and “distilled blue agave liquor.” In fact, Tesla originally applied for this trademark in Jamaica back in April 2018 and asserted the U.S. priority date based on this foreign application. A few days later, Musk posted on Instagram a photo of a tequila bottle with the Teslaquila label pasted on it.Elon was found passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by "Teslaquilla" bottles, the tracks of dried tears still visible on his cheeks.

This is not a forward-looking statement, because, obviously, what's the point?

However, the application was rejected by the patent examiner due to the existence of another alcoholic drink with a name that was supposedly too close to 'Teslaquila.’ Spirit Tesla alcoholic drink belongs to the Serbian company Valjevsko.
On July 3, 2020, in response to a request for updates for 'Teslaquila,’ Musk replied: "Сoming soon."
