Tesla will lower the price of Solar+Powerwall by $ 1,000 as of today

In California, US large-scale forest fires are raging that threaten to span the outskirts of the Los Angeles metropolis. Almost 100 thousand people are urgently evacuated in the state - because of the threat to their lives, because powerful fire killing everything living in its path.

The energy company Edison, which supplies electricity in California, because of fears that power grids could cause a fire to spread, cut off the north of the state and part of San Francisco on Wednesday, and on Thursday - 20 thousand homes in Los Angeles and the districts of San Bernandino and Kerg.
Power outages can occur in 36 state counties, said Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), California’s largest electricity supplier.
State Governor Gavin Newsom demanded a $ 100 discount to all private customers affected by the outage.
On Friday, PG&E warned about 850,000 customers that they could lose their electricity from Saturday evening to Monday noon. The shutdown will affect about 2 million people.
As early as Thursday, PG&E cut off electricity in 15 state districts to prevent accidents. About 180 thousand houses were left without light, but electricity was returned on the same day.
BBC correspondent Peter Bowes lives near Los Angeles in an area affected by the raging fire there. He reports that his family had seconds to pack up - they only managed to throw the dog into the car and drive away.

“This has become the norm,” Bowes wrote on Twitter. “The electricity was cut off a second time in a month. Neither water nor light. Strong winds and fires are expected.”

In turn, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX, today on October 28, 2019, tweeted that if someone is directly affected by a wildfire power outage, Tesla will lower the price of Solar+Powerwall by $ 1,000 as of today.
Elon Musk also said that the company does not make a lot of money on this product, so $ 1,000 actually means a lot.
In addition to all, Elon Musk apologized to everyone who is outside of California and expects Solar+Powerwall, explaining that the company gives priority to those who suffered from fires.
I sincerely condolences to people who have suffered or may be affected by fires. In the absence of electricity, it is very difficult to be in the house, especially if the family has children or elderly people.

Since Tesla does not use advertising, it can be difficult to find up-to-date information on how to order Solar+Powerwall on the Internet. Below I will leave links to sites where you can order the vital Solar+Powerwall.
Be safe!
