Twitter in the future could propose users select different platform versions based on ratings, says Elon Musk. The new functionality would make it possible for users to see only those tweets that they consider acceptable to themselves and that correspond to their worldview.
New Twitter owner Elon Musk is considering different options for how the platform should be in order to be as attractive as possible to users. If he succeeds, a lot of real users, not bots, will be drawn to the platform. There is still a lot of work to be done in order to make changes and improve the user experience, but one thing is clear, it is difficult to create a product that will 100% meet the expectations of everyone.
In an effort to still satisfy the widest possible audience, Musk is looking for the best options. He said that Twitter may offer, in the future, the possibility of ratings. The creator would be able to choose the rating of their tweet, but other users who see the tweet can change it. These ratings could work similarly to a movie maturity rating, explained Musk. As a result, users can decide for themselves which version of Twitter to use.
Musk made the proposals in response to a tweet noting that Facebook has a diverse oversight board that is controversial on both the left and right of the political spectrum. He previously suggested that Twitter form a council with “widely diverse viewpoints” to manage content. This body would have to make major content decisions or account reinstatements.
Good point.

Being able to select which version of Twitter you want is probably better, much as it would be for a movie maturity rating.
The rating of the tweet itself could be self-selected, then modified by user feedback.
