A Tesla neighborhood equipped with Powerwalls, solar panels, and electric vehicle chargers was launched in Las Vegas by Lennar.

Lennar's long-awaited The Arches community is open in Las Vegas, Nevada, the company announced. Starting December 3, the houses are open for tours by potential buyers. This unique community offers luxury single-story homes in the award-winning Summerlin masterplan—located in the desirable Redpoint village. The Arches is unique in that all the houses in it are equipped with solar panels, Tesla Powerwalls, and two universal chargers for electric vehicles. All of this makes The Arches a zero-emission solar community.

“With incredible energy-saving initiatives and well-designed floorplans, The Arches has something for households at any stage in life,” said Joy Broddle, Division President of Lennar Las Vegas. “This community is ideal for anyone looking to live a more eco-conscious lifestyle and take advantage of the year-round sunshine that the Las Vegas Valley has to offer.”

Tesla Powerwalls store excess solar power from solar panels throughout the day. It can be used at night, during peak periods, or during power outages, depending on how the homeowner has set up the configuration.
