SpaceX's goal is to transform humanity into a spacefaring civilization, they are in the process of developing a spacecraft that will enable life on Mars. SpaceX teams are rapidly making progress on the construction of Starship SN1, a new prototype that will conduct a series of test flights above Boca Chica Beach in Brownsville, Texas. The founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk, announced this morning (February 2)  that SpaceX would be hosting a "Starship career day" at the UTRGV Stargate building located besides the SpaceX's Starship Assembly site in Boca Chica Beach. Musk invited everyone who has "a super hardcore work ethic, talent for building things, common sense and trustworthiness" to apply to work at SpaceX on Thursday, February 6. from 3:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m CST (local time) adding that they will provide training, "The rest we can train," he wrote.

Musk stated that the "Starship career day" job fair would be especially to hire four full production shifts that would enable the Starship spacecraft production all day, for "24/7 operations." He did mention that "engineers, supervisors & support personnel," is also welcome to apply at the job fair event but he emphasized the company needs production crews that desire to assemble the Starship prototypes. The production crews are likely people who want to actually hands-on build the craft, like welders or individuals who have a variety of fabrication skills. Musk's full statement:

"This is mainly for staffing up 4 production shifts for 24/7 operations, but engineers, supervisors & support personnel are certainly needed too. A super hardcore work ethic, talent for building things, common sense & trustworthiness are required, the rest we can train."

Seems like the rocket company wants to speed up production, Musk had previously said they aim for a first test flight by March. The company recently filed paperwork with the Federal Communications Commission  (FCC) to request permission for communications for a 20 kilometer Starship SN1 test flight with the target date beginning in March.

Starship SN1 will be powered by a combination of cryogenic methane and liquid oxygen. The company has been manufacturing also testing propellant dome tanks, which are part of the craft's internal structure. Starship SN1 will be the first prototype that will conduct high altitude test flights, including an orbital flight. Musk previously said, "We’re now building flight design of Starship SN1, but each SN will have at least minor improvements, at least through SN20 or so of Starship V1.0."  Meaning, SpaceX aims to build at least 20 Starship prototypes over the course of this year, to achieve the production of that many flight vehicles they will need a lot of staff working in coordination. Musk has been working alongside SpaceX engineers and mechanics in South Texas for the past weeks. Through testing, trial and error, they will eventually develop a flight approved spacecraft. The final version of Starship will be capable of performing long duration voyages to the Moon and Mars. SpaceX is really working hard towards turning humanity into a spacefaring civilization. At Starship's unveiling event at Boca Chica last year, Musk wholeheartedly shared his sentiment of why the company is developing Starship, he said: "Consciousness is a rare and precious thing, we should take whatever steps we can to preserve the light of consciousness...We should do our very best to become a multi-planet species, extend consciousness beyond Earth and we should do it now."

If you share that same sentiment and live in Texas, its your chance, apply to be part of the company that will completely change the course of humanity's future.
