Tesla Giga Berlin expansion has the support of the German Federal Chancellor. The production of 1 million cars a year and batteries should provide 22,500 jobs, further ensuring the prosperity of the region and the country as a whole.

Tesla's first European factory is a great boon for Germany. Giga Berlin contributes to the economic prosperity of the region and the whole country. The factory provides thousands of jobs and brings money to the budget. Now, the company aims to double its production.

Tesla plans to produce 1 million vehicles a year. To this end, the company has applied for expansion. The public is already participating in the process; they can view the application and make comments until August 18. People have the opportunity to chat with Tesla employees and ask questions to better understand what the expansion will mean and what impact it will have on the region.

The expansion will take place in several stages. In the first stage, the existing production will be transformed and optimized, and the existing production capacities will be expanded. In the second phase, it is planned to build a new production hall, to the north of the existing building for the production of cars.

In order to be able to increase production to one million vehicles per year in the future, the need for employees is also increasing. Tesla plans to increase its workforce from 11,000 now to 22,500 for both phases. This is a significant increase that will have a very favorable effect on the country.

Although the expansion plan again raised some doubts from some organizations and local residents, the German chancellor showed his support for Tesla. On Monday, Olaf Scholz commented on the company's plans to double the capacity of Giga Berlin. He showed himself to be a supporter of the development of the factory. Scholz said some people “won't like Tesla's expansion plan[...]but I truly believe [in the company],” he added. The chancellor said that companies like Tesla should be tied to Germany in order to maintain and expand the country's prosperity.
