Elon Musk is now in Germany on a business visit, during which he met with politicians. Tesla's CEO said today that he expects the factory to receive a final environmental building permit in October, after which production will begin the same month. Apparently, Musk is really confident that Tesla will receive it, since he invited the public to Giga Berlin on October 9.

On August 13, the head of the company tweeted that Tesla will hold a county fair and give a factory tour on October 9. Although the priority of invitations is for the residents of Brandenburg and Berlin, the event will also be open to the general public, he explained.

Musk is delivering on a promise he made last year. During his visit to Giga Berlin in September 2020, he said that when the factory is complete, Tesla plans to throw a big party for the occasion, to which all the neighborhood will be invited: “We will have a big opening party and all the neighborhood will be invited. "

If production at Giga Berlin starts in October, this would mean a delay of only 3-4 months from the originally planned date. However, during this time, in addition to a permit for the construction of an automobile factory, Tesla will also receive a permit for the construction of a battery factory.
