Although Q1 of any year is historically the toughest for Tesla, Q1 2021 will be unusually strong, although still relatively weak compared to the next three quarters. According to an internal email sent to the EMEA team, Tesla has made great strides in the region, selling twice as many cars as in the same period in 2020—driving a significant increase in Tesla's share in the passenger car market.
Tesla expressed enormous gratitude and congratulations to the EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Asia) team for another outstanding quarter. Despite the fact that the first quarter of the year is usually the most difficult, Tesla managed to achieve incredible achievements.
The company doubled its sales compared to Q1 2020 and generated significant growth in its share in the passenger car market. Already in February, Tesla Model 3 topped the list of the best-selling EVs in the region, and the indicators for March will cement its superiority.
Tesla said it boosted sales in the region by about 15% QoQ, which means they are well ahead of Q4 2020. Thanks to this, the company has achieved the highest delivery yield on supply ever. March was really hot in terms of deliveries and on March 31, Tesla hit a new record with delivering the most vehicles in a single day.
In the email, it was noted that the company has achieved great success in Israel, where sales first started in Q1 2021. The first batch of cars has already been delivered to customers, and at the moment thousands of pre-orders have already been received. However, Israel is not the only new market for Tesla. In the first three months of 2021, the company opened 13 new locations in the region.

-
Today we smashed our previous record for deliveries in a single day
-
We had our highest delivery yield on supply EVER!
-
We delivered our first cars in Israel and secured thousands of orders since market launch!
-
We expanded our location portfolio by 13 new locations (that’s a new location every week...)
-
We grew vehicle repairs in service by close to 20% over Q4
-
We had our best week for vehicle repairs all time and hit new highs for vehicle repair efficiency, reducing our wait times for a consecutive quarter
